AI will replace you. 90% of them. Industry veterans will say, "You will have jobs."
That is not true. AI will replace almost all of the job market. If you are an environment artist who is doing the usual stuff, you are easily replaceable. That is not the case with someone who does the plumbing.
Any specialization in any field is replaceable. Machines have linear intellect.
What you must do is you must take a creative route.
If you are doing an environment concept, then it should have your trademark. Unique identity. It only comes from your mental framework. And this mental framework must be cultivated. Then you must only take jobs that suit that framework.
You must know what you do. You are an Artist. Not a craftsman.
An artist is a craftsman who perceives the higher order in things. Almost in all things. You must cultivate that lens.
Somebody is saying they want an ancient cathedral. Don't go and collect the reference and copy it like a beta brain. Understand what is in it. Simplify it and abstract the core. Then you must do it without looking at the reference.
"But pros are talking otherwise."
You don't want to be a pro. You want to be the greatest in what you do. That is what you must aim for. Beta brains do not belong in the Kingdom of God.
