How to get your first job on freelancer.com as a Graphic designer or illustrator?

First create an account. 

You must fill all the details. Nothing should be left blank. Because you are a visual artist. There is a tendency to leave things behind. Everything is not in your portfolio. Your portfolio matters. But what that matters most is the trust of your potential buyer. When a man invests money in you, he needs some assurance. In your main profile page nothing should be left blank. Everything should get a tick mark.

Add all the details in Experience, Education, Qualification and publication if that favors you. You don't have experience in your current field leave it blank. People are interested in what you are. Not, what you are not.

How freelancer works?

The Employer or client will post a job. You can bid on that job. Bid means you can apply for that job. If you are just joining freelancer.com. you will only be available 8 bids/ month. that means you can only apply for 8 times per month. The chance of you getting a job is slim to none. Let's face reality. But let's get into business.

Getting your first job. Plan A

1. Apply for contests and win.  if bidding doesn't work, apply for contests
2. Ask your friend to post a project and bid on it. Tell him you refund his money. 
3. Contact your previous employer and offer him a discount. If he liked your work previously, he will be more than happy to help.

Still not working. Plan B

1. Enter into all the contests. It doesn't matter what the result is going to be. You will get credit points. With that credit points you can buy bids. You will get credit points for logging into freelancer account daily. So make it a habit. We are Enslaving this monster. No matter what.
2. Taking exams on your niche category. When you pass an exam it will be shown as a badge in your profile which telecast your client this person knows what he is doing. 

Still not working. Plan C

1. You must work on your cover letter. You must be doing something wrong.
2. You must work on your profile. Have you checked all the other profiles in your niche category which are successful. Say you are in branding field. Open 10 most successful branding freelancers and observe what they are doing that you don't.
3. It is your profile picture. It is your face. Try plastic surgery. If your face is the problem then we will change your face. Lmao. Put someone else's profile picture. Put an ai generated face. well that seems like a great idea though. Never crossed my mind. 

Still not working. Plan D

1. A man got to do what a man got to do bro. Do something about it. You must create a blog and dedicate your whole life writing absolute smack about freelancer.com. That's it. It is done.
