Here is the update.
What I think about this piece.
This one performed better than the previous one.
But this is not my best piece so far.
That is still that one in the Yatrik page. The tail of the dragon.
That is a solid 830 to 850 range.
This one stands around 750 to 790.
That is like a 50-point gap.
But I have learned more new things with this one.
Ok.
What I did wrong.
1. I used hard edges first. Big mistake. Never do that. I used it to avoid muddy colors. But that is a problem to be solved in the future.
You need to avoid muddy colors and render, keeping the compositional integrity.
Basically, it is a battle between colors and lines.
Both these fundamental elements stand in polar opposites.
You can use a more disciplined approach to your paintings. That will solve that issue.
Better luck next time.
2. The force architecture is not at all close to what I have imagined. And the foreshortening is also bad.
Verdict:
Can make it work if you do some heavy lifting on it.
That will push it to around the 800 - 830 range.
***If you are not interested in ArtScore, I totally agree with you. Some of my favorite pieces from other artists also have a very low score. But I like it. But why I use it is because there is a sense of improvement. That is the only reason. If you are a beginner artist, the only thing you should care about is the score, which correlates to presentation readiness. This one has a presentation readiness of around 70 to 80. If you pass 90 out of 100, you can call it an artwork. If you are in your 500s, then only bother about that. Don't bother about anatomy, perspective, or anything else; just only focus on presentation readiness.
